Elysian Piers
Elysian Piers, aka Ed Mead, was fully realised in 2008 in the sunny city of Brighton with the intention of creating intelligent, emotional and evocative music. He explores various genres and sounds and blends elements of IDM, classical and progressive shoegaze.
The influence of such bands as Sigur Ros, Amusement Parks on Fire and M83 has led to the unique sound of Elysian Piers. He uses intricate layers of orchestral, electronic, acoustic and found sounds to create complex soundscapes; compositions to take you to a different place and time if only for a few minutes.
Music from Elysian Piers is epic yet ambient, destructive yet beautiful, sounds that create a space to reflect, a time to forget or remember, a place to take you away.
