Sputnik O'Harra, aka Orphean Prophecy, has always enjoyed music that inspires confidence from the outset; music where the author lets the listener know straight away that they are in good hands. He strives to re-create this effect in his own compositions.
Out there pushing the boundaries but not straying too far from home, Sputnik O'Harra brings an intelligent sentimentality intended not only to provoke an emotional response but also to make for a pleasurable and stimulating listening experience.
Drawing from a library of raw audio recorded first hand from around the globe, he uses world music infused rhythms and naturally textured samples as a foundation for intricate, energised percussion and layered orchestral melody.
Music from Sputnik is big sounding electronica that is humble in its roots; sounds that are out there soaring high yet orbiting ever close to that all important source.
